At Pineda Dental Studio, a deep cleaning with ultrasonic scaling costs ARS 80,000 in cash or ARS 97,000 by card or bank transfer, and it includes the exam and the digital panoramic X-ray. With air polishing, for coffee, mate and tobacco stains, it costs ARS 100,000 in cash or ARS 125,000 by card or bank transfer. With diode laser, for inflamed gums, ARS 150,000 in cash or ARS 185,000 by card or bank transfer. In all three cases it is one price for everything, in the same appointment: you do not pay for the X-ray separately or have to get it somewhere else. Cash can be paid in Argentine pesos or US dollars.

Because the cleaning shows what is visible, and the X-ray shows what is not: cavities between teeth, tartar below the gum line, bone loss, impacted wisdom teeth. With both together, the diagnosis is complete and you leave knowing whether you need anything else or everything looks fine. Ultrasonic cleaning and air polishing remove tartar, plaque and stains, not enamel. You may feel some sensitivity to cold during the cleaning or in the following days, especially if there was a lot of tartar or your gums were inflamed, and it goes away on its own. If your gums need periodontal treatment by sections, that treatment is done with local anesthesia. If you are sensitive, tell us when you book and we will take it into account.

Yes, when the stains are on the surface of the tooth. For that we use air polishing, which reaches where the ultrasonic tip cannot. What a cleaning does not change is the natural color of the tooth: if you want a lighter shade after the cleaning, the next step is teeth whitening, which already includes the cleaning. And if you have white spots that do not go away, take a look at resin infiltration (in Spanish).

All three start with the exam, the panoramic X-ray and the ultrasonic cleaning, which removes tartar and plaque. The difference is in the next step. With air polishing, we add a jet of air, water and fine powder that removes pigment stains and cleans between teeth and around braces and implants. With diode laser, we decontaminate the gum line when it is inflamed or bleeding. If you have stains and inflamed gums, we sometimes recommend both, and we give you the price for the combination at your appointment. Yes. With braces and implants, cleanings are even more important, and air polishing works very well in those areas. During pregnancy, a cleaning can be done and is recommended, because the gums tend to get more inflamed; let us know when you book and we will take it into account for the X-ray and the rest of the visit.
